Anybody remember the Grr Arg thing at the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I wasn’t a huge Buffy fan, but I watched it. And my roommate in college was obsessed with Buffy. May still be. I don’t know. But I remember hearing “Grr, Arg,” every day for a long, long time.
The whole Grr Arg thing was the logo for Joss Whedon’s production company and was thrown together in 1996 when Buffy was taking off.
There is no reason at all that you need to know this, but I feel that I need to tell it to you. Moving on.
Because it’s associated with my best friend, Grr Arg is highly positively associated in my mind, and I’ll often find myself just saying it out loud every time I’m moderately frustrated or annoyed but not actually angry about the thing that set me off, and even a little entertained.
Can’t get the lid back on the honey jar?
Kids having a fistfight over who gets to sit on which side of the car today?
Out of coffee?
You guessed it.
