Olivia Gatwood and I Forgot to Mention

I forgot.

I’m obsessed with Olivia Gatwood. And a lot of the poets on Button Poetry.

I’ve always found poetry really inaccessible, and intimidating, to read.

It’s really a literary genre and form that needs to be spoken, aloud, by the poet to work for me. And, I’d argue, to function at it’s best, highest level.

This speaker’s voice, and Gatwood’s actual physical voice are like what I find myself trying and, more and more, succeeding at channeling.

This is a fierce poet speaking for a fierce main character and I dig it. So damn hard.
